University of Nebraska Beekeeping Workshops

The University of Nebraska Extension program is offering a series of workshops starting in March, 2013. Titled "Everything You Need to Know to Succeed in Apiculture," the workshops include:

Beginning Beekeeping Workshops
North Platte, NE – March 9, 2013
Nebraska City, NE – March 16, 2013

Beginning Beekeeping Field Day
Ithaca, NE – April 20, 2013

Queen Rearing Workshop
Ithaca, NE – June 13-15, 2013

Washington State University Beekeeping Workshops

The Washington State University Honey Bee Program is offering queen rearing workshops in June and July, 2013.

These workshops will provide an understanding of what it takes to rear high quality queens. Basic biology and methods of queen rearing will be presented. These workshops give hands on instruction in rearing high quality queens. Beekeepers will be involved in the various steps: setting up cell builders; grafting; establishing mating nuclei. A queen right and a queen less system will be demonstrated.

Denver Beekeepers Association Lectures

Boulder County Beekeepers Meetings
